10 Simple ways to go green:

1. Use paper and not plastic bags at the store. Better still, use a cloth bag that you can wash.
2. Use energy saving light bulbs.
3. Unplug electrical items when not in use.
4. Set your thermostat a few degrees higher in the summer and a few degrees lower in the winter.
5. Wash laundry in cold water.
6. If possible, dry clothes on a clothesline outside or on a drying rack inside.
7. Use water-saving faucets in the bathrooms.
8. Use low-flow toilet.
9. Instead of buying bottled water, put a filter on your kitchen tap.
10. Use renewable energy (or green energy) wherever possible.
